2016 Indiana Basketball Camps
Indiana is known as being a basketball state. The Hoosier State has Professional team camps, Colleges camps with rich basketball tradition, lots of great local bball instruction and Larry Bird.
Why mention Larry Legend? Because whatever state he resides in, that state’s basketball skill immediately rises by 10%. Its a fact! 😉
Pro Tip: As you’re browsing for basketball camps, keep an eye out for camp discounts.
Many camps have discounts for simple things like signing up early, bringing a friend or participating in multiple camps during summer.
Don’t miss out on saving some cash!
Indiana Pacers and Fever Camps
The Indiana Pacers feature 16 different summer camps all over Greater Indianapolis. The camps are put on by The National Basketball Academy.
The “NBA” also puts on several camps for other pro teams.
In addition to summer camps, they hold special clinics for the Paces and year-round instruction. Keep an eye out for their leagues too!
The WNBA team Indiana Fever will host camps and clinics for youth girls, but last I checked they don’t have any camps scheduled. Best to check their website to see if it gets updated.

McCracken is one of the oldest basketball camps in the country. The second oldest I believe.
Now in it’s 53rd year of camp, they boast that 125,000 campers have received their bball instruction.
McCracken has a few locations in Indiana for boys and girls aged 8 – 18. From everything I’ve read about the camp, it’s one of those all-around great camps that creates a great experience for campers of all ages
They create skill-appropriate drills for the most beginner basketball player to the college bound high school player.
Paul George’s basketball camp located in Avon is hosted with ProCamps.
Throughout the camp Paul George will be playing with the campers, provided tips, and simply have a good time.
Discount Alert: If you’re a Citi Card holder you can save $40 on the Paul George camp. Great deal!
“Great shooters are made not born”
That’s the motto of Dick Baumgartner’s Basketball Shooting Camp. They boast that over 75,000 players have attended their program.
Baumgartner’s is possibly the best and certainly one of the most attended basketball shooting camps in the country.
They teach proven and simplified terminology, techniques, and drills that players of all ages can understand and benefit from.
Indiana Primetime Basketball has more sports programs than I have space to mention.
Just for basketball they have small group training that features 1-on-1 Attack, Advanced Shooting, Big Man Training, Ball Screens, Girls Basketball Development, and much more.
Plus, during the summer they have even more basketball camps! They are definitely worth a look if you live in greater Carmel.

Coach Holt has five different youth summer camps. Four of which are traditional college basketball camps. The other camp is a one day “Little Dribblers” Camp for kids aged 4-6.
Butler’s Women’s Basketball have something pretty unique. You can combo their basketball camps with the volleyball and tennis camp. Play volleyball or tennis in the morning and basketball in the afternoon!
The Hoosiers baby! Indiana University & Tom Crean’s Basketball Academy has two different camp programs for younger kids.
Little Hoosiers BBall Academy is for Boys & Girls in 1st-4th grade. Junior Hoosiers is for Boys & Girls in grades 5th & 6th.
Unfortunately, if you’re in 7th grade or higher you won’t be able to attend the IU camps.
It looks like the University of Notre Dame Fighting Irish have the traditional college camp with two overnight sessions coming in at a pricey $585 a piece.
If you’re a Fighting Irish fan, I’m sure the price tag won’t hold you back from attending through!
Don’t overlook those smaller colleges that also give excellent training! Hanover College is one example.
